The Tennessee men’s golf team is in Toledo, Ohio this week for the Inverness Intercollegiate Tournament.
Including the Vols, four SEC teams are set to be a part of the 15-team field with Missouri, Auburn and LSU joining the fray. The field also includes three teams that were ranked in the GCAA Coaches Poll.
Other teams participating in the event are Kennessaw State, Kent State, Michigan, Michigan State, UNC-Wilmington, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, Ohio State, St. Mary’s, Texas Tech and Toledo.
In 2018, Tennessee won the Inverness Intercollegiate by seven strokes over the field. After the first 36 holes, the Vols held an 11-stroke lead.
Tennessee’s 2019 lineup will feature Rhys Nevin, Hunter Wolcott, Brayden Garrison, Spencer Cross and Chip Thomas with Sean Wilcox representing the Vols in the individual category.
Tee time for the first round is slated for 8:45 a.m. on Monday, with the second round also taking place on Monday.
The event will run through Tuesday.
