The Southeastern Conference released their official 2019-20 men’s basketball schedule on Tuesday.
The Tennessee men’s basketball team schedule, which already features games at Kansas, at Cincinnati, vs Washington, Purdue and Memphis, will begin their SEC slate on Jan. 4 against defending SEC champ LSU at Thompson-Boling Arena.
That contest is one of five home Saturday conference games for the Vols this season.
Other Saturday home opponents are South Carolina on Jan. 11, Kentucky on Feb. 8, Florida on Feb. 29 and Auburn on March 7 in what will be Tennessee’s regular-season finale.
As for their home midweek slate, the Vols will take on Ole Miss on Jan. 21, Texas A&M on Jan. 28, Arkansas on Feb. 11 and Vanderbilt on Feb. 18.
Tennessee will play nine league road games, starting with Missouri on Jan. 7 and followed by contests at Georgia (Jan. 15), Vanderbilt (Jan. 18), Mississippi State (Feb. 1), Alabama (Feb. 4), South Carolina (Feb. 15), Auburn (Feb. 22), Arkansas (Feb. 26) and Kentucky (March 3).
The conference will take a break from SEC play on Jan. 25 for the annual SEC/Big 12 Challenge, which will feature a Tennessee vs Kansas match-up at Historic Allen Fieldhouse.
The 2020 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament will take place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, March 11-15.
