Vols vs Indiana - Tax Slayer Bowl
Head coach Jeremy Pruitt for the Tennessee volunteers facing Indiana in the 2020 Tax Slayer Bowl.

Cade Mays is reportedly transferring to Tennessee, ESPN's Mark Schlabath originally and Volquest.com later reported Wednesday.

Mays is the son of former Tennessee star Kevin Mays and brother to incoming Tennessee freshman Cooper Mays. Cade was a 5-star and standout offensive tackle at Knoxville Catholic, spending nearly two years committed to Tennessee before decommitting from Tennessee when Butch Jones was fired.

Mays would go on to sign with Georgia choosing the Dawgs over Clemson and Tennessee.

Mays started 11 games last season for Georgia at both left tackle and guard. Mays was expected to start at offensive tackle for Georgia in 2020.

Mays would have to get a waiver approved by the NCAA to be eligible in 2020. The Mays family is reportedly suing the University of Georgia after Kevin Mays had part of a finger amputated at a Georgia athletic event.
