On Sunday afternoon, Jan. 13, we decided to go visit the new Student Union that has received so much positive press.

We could not find any general public parking close to the building.

The large parking lot adjacent to the Student Union and across from the stadium had about 30 cars parked there. But as we drove through, the signs indicated that the spaces were not for general public use, including the handicapped spaces.

We finally parked at Circle Park and walked in the rain to see the new Student Union.

Weekend general public visitors to this area should be provided with parking spaces that can be controlled through the academic week and on game days.
