Tickets for Garth Brooks’ upcoming performance in Neyland Stadium, which will be part of his American stadium tour, went on sale Friday morning. However, the Ticketmaster website crashed shortly after the tickets were released. The company was not anticipating the high influx of fans that flocked to the website.
Tickets will go on sale again on Thursday, September 19th at 10 a.m. eastern time. Tickets that were sold before the website crashed will still be valid.
Brooks apologized to fans regarding the inconvenience. He expressed his gratitude for the show’s immediate popularity and was excited at the notion of possibly selling out Neyland Stadium, a venue that hasn’t hosted a concert in 16 years.
Brooks also tweeted about the situation.
“Knoxville, we have a problem!” Brooks said. “Big Orange! You may have showed up too big!!! The system is down...Will keep you updated as soon as I know something. Can’t thank you enough for showing up this way! love, g #GarthinKnoxville."
