The U.S. News and World Reports released its 2020 undergraduate rankings, and UT placed 44th for public universities and 104th out of all universities. According to the report, UT has greatly improved in six-year graduation rate and peer assessment, among other categories; 2019’s six-year graduation rate rose to 73%, and peer assessment, which is measured out of 5, increased this year from 3.2 to 3.3.
This ranking comes at the same time that UT’s student population is exploding: over 29,000 students enrolled for the 2019-2020 school year, more than have been enrolled in 20 years.
UT’s Haslam College of Business in particular was recognized as the 31st best public college in the country and the 50th best college out of all U.S. undergraduate programs. This is a significantly higher rating than last year, where Haslam was ranked 39th among public colleges and 52nd among all colleges.
Additionally, Tickle College of Engineering also ranked well, placing 37th among all public colleges and and 66th among all private and public colleges.
